We are actively seeking a full-time Computational Scientific Technician with a strong preference for candidates who demonstrate experience or aptitude in Linux systems and programming. This specialized role focuses on the critically important field of cryo-electron microscopy computational analysis. Responsibilities:

  • Cryo-Electron Microscopy Particle Picking for Therapeutics: Engage in daily particle picking activities crucial for cryo-electron microscopy. Utilize both manual and automated tools like Topaz auto-picking, adhering to rigorous, standard protocols.
  • Software Optimization for Structural Resolution: Gain proficiency in cutting-edge software tools to optimize the collection of high-resolution atomic structures, a foundation for developing future therapies for human diseases.
  • Linux Systems and Programming in Structural Biology: Utilize Linux-based systems to execute basic programming tasks and command line operations, key components of our computational analysis pipeline.
  • Data Analysis for Therapeutic Discovery: Conduct precise statistical analyses on cryo-electron microscopy data, directly contributing to the lab’s objectives of resolving atomic structures for future medical applications.
  • Protocols and Documentation: Maintain strict adherence to both written and verbal protocols, keeping detailed notes and records to ensure the scientific rigor and reproducibility of our groundbreaking research.

Requirements:
